ABOUT
Michelle J. Smith is a dynamic choreographer, dancer, and fashion stylist with a strong passion for the visual and performing arts. She earned a B.A. in Dance and a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising from the University of North Texas.
Beginning her dance journey at the age of five, Michelle has trained in ballet, modern, hip-hop, musical theater, tap, contemporary, jazz, and lyrical styles. She refined her skills at the High School of Performing and Visual Arts and Humphrey’s School of Musical Theater in Houston, Texas.
Her performance experience includes appearing in Beyoncé’s Blow music video, concert dance work for Vincent Hardy and Miguel Guitierrez, and ensemble roles in Hairspray, Xanadu, Legally Blonde, and Guys and Dolls. She also contributed choreography to Bring It On: The Musical at Humphrey’s School of Musical Theatre.
Her rhythmically precise and expressive choreography has gained national recognition, earning her the Best Choreography award at the Junior Theater Festival in Sacramento and an honor from the American College Dance Association, representing the University of North Texas.
In fashion, Michelle has participated in the fashion styling process for cover shoots in Allure Magazine and King Kong Magazine, while also expanding her industry knowledge through international experience in Paris, France. Dedicated to pushing creative boundaries, she continues to merge dance and fashion, fostering originality and artistic innovation.
